WeatherTech RackSackJul 21, 2010 I suggest you don't buy this item. I bought it about 2 weeks ago then went on a 800 mile trip to Colorado. The RackSack was easy to use but buy the time we got back it had basically come apart on the inside of the compartment. If you hit any wind at all the Sack also vibrates (the tie straps), you can help this by twisting the straps but it is still hard to keep all parts of it from flapping.

Good product!Jan 11, 2010 Was surprised at the small box it came in, but it holds a lot and is sturdy and did exactly what we needed. Seems to be a quality product. We had no problems. When purchasing these it is important to consider the space you have on your roof. If you buy one with too much cubicle space it may have extra space that goes under the bar, you may even feel that you need to fill it up more just so it doesn't flop around. Don't buy much larger than you need thinking you're getting your money's worth. Buy the appropriate size. This is the appropriate size for us!

Excellent Car Top StorageOct 27, 2009 I did a lot of research on roof-top cargo carriers and selected the WeatherTech product mostly based on other Amazon reviews and the size, and I'm glad I did. It is very spacious and I was able to fit 3 carry-on suitcases along with other flexible items. The tie down straps work nicely and fold up as advertised. It never rained during our vacation trip so I don't have any feedback on water resistence. It folds nicely back into a storage pouch.

Works great for our trips to the beach!Sep 11, 2009 We bought this carrier 3 months ago and are very happy with it. Living in Florida, we go to the beach often, and this thing is VERY useful.
The carrier fits well on top of our 2009 Dodge Journey w/ roof rack. While not fit for carrying valuables or breakables (no lock, carrier is very flexible, and not water proof), shoving 3 boogie boards and 4-5 beach chairs overhead saves a TON of space inside the vehicle. The strap system works well, allowing you to cinch the carrier down nice and tight so things don't shift much in transit. While it may not be 100% water-proof, we've driven through some torrential downpours and haven't noticed any leaking to date (though for our use so far, this is a non-issue).
When not in use, it folds down to about the size of a small pillow in the supplied storage bag, allowing us to keep the carrier with us at all times, "just in case".
Attaching a string with a Velcro loop on the end to the zipper pulls can make it easier to reach the zippers around the vehicle.
The felt bottom protects the vehicle roof nicely, but be sure it is clean. A clean towel/blanket underneath may be easier to keep clean.
When attaching to the vehicle, make sure the zipper goes around the BACK - with the one non-zippered side facing the FRONT of the vehicle. Having the zipper go around the front may allow (more) water to get in.

WeatherTech Cargo CarrierJul 08, 2009 This product works well. Easy to attach & very secure. The only issue is my items got wet in a very heavy downpour. I don't know if it was because I had the zippers exposed the wrong way. I haven't had a chance to test my theory as yet though. Best thing is you don't have to drive around with it on your roof all the time like the hard carriers.
