SquareTrade worked well for me!Jul 27, 2010
Bought a SquareTrade warranty for my daughter's MP3 player, just in case...and I am glad that I did. The device failed about a year after purchase. Submitted claim to SquareTrade, and purcahse price was deposited into my PayPal account in just a few days. The only way this could have been better was if they had offered to repair/replace the unit, because now I have to shop for a replacement. Not a huge copmplaint though, getting the money back is way better than having no recourse at all.

The "contract" was emailed next day after order. It seems to cover most potential issues. However, there is no way to judge how good or bad this will be until it's used. Hope I never need to use it.

Haven't had a chance to put the player to test yet, but in just unwrapping and trying it out I must say the sound is better than any others I have tested so far, was quite surprised actually, the headphones comfortable and good sound quality, the picture is great, is lightweight and user friendly. I bought it for my senior mother who travels back and forth from STL to KC Missouri on a train to visit her sister, and also doesn't have anything other than local tv stations at her sister's, so I hope this gives her hours of passing the time. I bought the extended plan so I hope they come thru if needed, and that they don't go out of business in the next 4 years.
