It works, but there is a cheaper alternative.Aug 22, 2010 . . . 1. QUIKPRO is more effective and inexpensive than ROUNDUP. The product contains 73.30% Glyphosate and 2.90% Diquat. Besides containing 1.9% more root-killing chemical, it has a second ingredient that rapidly disrupts cell integrity of photosynthetically active tissues in the leaves. Blades of grass and leaves turn brown within three days.
. . . . .The cheapest price for QUIKPRO is at Russo Power Equipment. I was able to purchase a 6.8 pound container for $70. At a dilution rate of 1.5 ounces/gallon of water, it calculates to $0.98/gallon of herbicide.
.
. . . 2. The most inexpensive herbicide is to mix a "home made solution" from cheap household products. For killing grass and sterilizing the soil as well, I mix a quarter cup of liquid laundry detergent and 2.0 pounds of salt in a gallon of water. DO NOT USE POWDER DETERGENT, it clogs up the sprayer.
. . . . .CASH AND CARRY of Seattle sells a 50 pound bag of salt at $5.90, and COSTCO sells a 1.3 gallon container of ECO LIQUID LAUNDRY DETERGENT at $13.89.
. . . . .This $0.32/gallon solution is applied via a hand-pump sprayer. The detergent removes the shiny protective waxy layer of the vegetation and forces it to quickly absorb the toxic solution. The detergent is also sticky. As a result, the salt sticks to the plant during drying. You can see the crystals of it on the blades of grass during a sunny day.
. . . . .Within an hour, it is curling. In one to two days, certain parts of the grass turn dark purple-black in color. Within a week, the area is brown. It is best to do spraying on a dry week in late July, for rain tends to wash off the dried saline and negate the killing process. When a summer shower does come later, the salt goes into the soil, attacks the grass roots, and sterilizes the ground.
.
. . . 3. For tough thorn-like plants such as black berry bushes, I mix 1.5 ounces of QUIKPRO and a cup of bleach into my "home made herbicide." At a $1.39/gallon, the herbicide is very potent. It usually takes two to three applications for a complete kill.
terrible companyJul 16, 2010 The company is very misleading regarding the price of the product. To make matters worse they ignore emails and do not get back in touch with you. Do not buy from this company. Product is fine, just buy elsewhere.

Great Product for Killing WeedsApr 21, 2010 If you like to watch your green weeds turn brown this is the product to buy.
I have used it in my flower beds for three years and it never lets me down.
You can watch the grass and weeds turn brown and stay that way.
Thanks Buy Wholesale Cheap for providing QuikPro.

Great weed killerNov 02, 2009 This works better and faster than regular Roundup. The small packets are convenient and easy to mix and use with a pump sprayer for doing small or large areas. The customer service from BUY WHOLESALE CHEAP was great. Got the product in less than a week. Will definitely be buying more from them.

EVIL product from an EVIL companyOct 13, 2009 Roundup is a product created by the Monsanto Corporation, which owns 90% of the soybeans produced in the USA. Roundup is designed to kill weeds but it also makes seeds produced from a plant infertile. Monsanto conveniently produces genetically modified seeds that are resistant to Roundup. If a farmer is growing plants without roundup and the plants are polinated by plants with roundup the farmer is legally unable to sell the plants due to copyright infringement. Monsanto also developed agent orange, aspartame, rBGH (bovine growth hormone) and ambien. One would think these practices would be illegal but many Monsanto employees are also notable politicians. Monsanto is EVIL!
