Great product, but...Dec 11, 2009
The product is excellent. It works great, shipped quickly, has a nice, heavy, solid feel to it that anything power related should if you expect it to last long at all. Unfortunately, it wasn't my problem, and I suspect that it might not be yours, either. If you have a Compaq or HP computer whose charge light mysteriously goes off goes on and off, or goes off until you jiggle the cord, then your issue is likely not your power cord; it's the DC connector on the laptop. The fix? Disassemble the whole thing, remove the existing DC connector, and solder a new one on. We're talking 30+ screws. Improved DC connectors are available on eBay. Yuck.

Quick Shipping. Placed order on Mon 31 March 2008 and received by US Mail in my mailbox on Fri 4 April 2008. (Better than UPS or Fedex because I didn't have to be there to sign for it.) Plugged in Power Supply and it worked. Less than half price of the orignal from HP.
